I have allowed guest posts in the past (including those of my sisters) and I am definitely open to them, but since this blog is called Caroline in the City, I prefer to allow guest posts from people who know me pretty well, have met me or have traveled with me. Policies

I only do link swapping if I’m a reader of your blog already, not some random link exchange request. This isn’t because I’m being a snob, but I prefer to only recommend sites that I read myself. I disclose things I have gotten for free. It’s just how it goes. That’s mostly so the FTC leaves me alone. Sending me free stuff (although appreciated) does not guarantee a good review or even one at all. It is completely up to my discretion. (See my review of Dear John if you don’t believe me.) I’m not completely opposed to sponsored posts mostly because I don’t make enough money to fund my travels otherwise. I disclose the sponsored posts and only do them if I like the company. I don’t put a ton of ads on, mostly because I think there’s too much to look at anyways, but if I do it is for companies I recommend and have used. I am open to the idea of a few ads, but don’t want to distract readers. If you are interested in advertising on Caroline in the City, send me an email and we can discuss the details. If you want to reprint my blog posts or use my photographs, please contact me or at the very least credit me. I rarely have a problem with it, I promise.
