Oh yes, I have one of these too. My mom bought me every Atlanta area magazine (in hopes of convincing me to move home to work for one of them) and they had a lot of lists of things to do. I marked AM for Atlanta Magazine. Here are my faves:
- Climb Stone Mountain (AM #1) Never climbed it, but have seen the laser show hundreds of times.
- Explore the Silver Comet Trail (AM #3)
- Drink a PBR at the Clermont Lounge (AM #5)
- Tailgate at the Starlight Six Drive-In (AM #8)
- Eat at The Varsity on game day (AM #9) I drool over Varsity food when I am in Charleston.
- Run the Peachtree Road Race (AM #34) The thought of running up Heart Attack Hill makes me want to die, but one of these days I will do it.
- Sober up at The Majestic (AM #44)
- Hang out in the infield at the Atlanta Steeplechase (AM #50)
- Chow down with a soul legend at Chicken & Waffles First fell in love with this place when I saw an episode of Man Vs. Food.
- Visit Atlanta’s dearly departed at Oakland Cemetery (AM #53, mine) I take hundreds of pictures every time I visit here.
- Taste the Beverly at World of Coca Cola (AM #57) Watch as your face cringes at the taste of the BEVERLY!
- Get your pour on at SweetWater (AM #58) I visit every chance I get. For $8, you get a commemorative glass and 6 samples of their delicious brews.
- Get a dose of culture at the High I never get sick of it.
So while you’re messing around on the internet instead of doing work (no wait, that’s me), you might as well vote for me for STA World Traveler Intern 2010! Thanks a bazillion.
