My family loves to travel. I’m lucky to have that in common with them. One trip we always said we would take was Thanksgiving in New York City, but we wanted to wait until my cousin Caitlin was old enough to remember it.
Two years ago, we did just that. After waking up early to see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade live, we had our Thanksgiving lunch at Langhan’s Irish Pub.
It sounds like an odd place to have our meal, especially when we are a group of Southerners used to having turkey and hashbrown casserole. But it was delicious, especially that apple pie for dessert.

too funny! my sister, mom and i were in the city on thanksgiving about 10 years ago and after the parade and waiting in the absolute bitter cold at the tkts booth for a show, we ended up at some tex-mex place in times square for linner (lunch-dinner)
