Visiting Niagara Falls without getting on a boat is like going to Paris and not seeing any art: it’s unheard of. I had already been misted at the Journey Behind the Falls but was ready for the real deal. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we had to cancel our trip on the Maid of the Mist, but we didn’t know at the time that we would get far more water than we bargained for.
Decked head to toe in rubber rain gear, my fellow travel bloggers, tourists and I boarded the jet boat. We were told to secure all cameras and sunglasses so I only got a bit of footage before I got whipped around like I was in the washing machine.
We smashed into waves up and down the Niagara Falls to the gorge and back. There was one rapid that nearly knocked me out of my seat and caused me to inhale fresh Canadian water. So would I do it again? Absolutely. It’s a great activity if you’re spending a few days in the Niagara Falls area but have already seen the falls themselves. Also try a jet boat tour in Montreal, where they were first led.
Thanks to Niagara Tourism and Ontario Tourism for coordinating this tour as a part of the Travel Blog Exchange conference as well as Whirlpool Jetboat Tours for their hospitality.

Looks like an awesome place to go jet boating. I did a similar thing on Sydney Harbour a couple of years ago which wasn’t a bad setting to go jet boating either.
