While Sydney has its famous attractions like the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, Melbourne is content with its atmosphere and cafe culture. But if there’s one attraction you’ll see in every guidebook, it’s Eureka Skydeck. This residential building is the 14th tallest in the world, at 975 feet (297.3 meters) and happens to have the best view of Melbourne.
The Skydeck, located on the building’s 88th floor, has views of the surrounding area with telescopes telling you what you’re looking at. There’s even a cafe and observation deck, as well as the highest post office box in Australia, which is a fun place to send a postcard from.
The Edge experience is an extra fee, but it allows you to go onto a glass platform that is clear on the bottom and just out above the city. Those with a fear of heights should maybe skip this one, but it makes you feel like you’re sitting, or standing, on a cloud above Melbourne.
Eureka Skydeck makes for a great rainy day activity or a nice escape from the fast pace of Federation Square. I only wish I had gone on my last trip!
I received complimentary admission into the Skydeck and the Edge from Progressive PR. Tickets cost $19.50 and the Edge costs $12 AUD with photos costing extra.

I’m afraid of heights yet still tried to be in Eureka Skydeck just one time. I had no regrets because it’s worth for an experience. Y.O.L.O. You only live once. I can always get back there, I’m Melburnian actually, everyone should never skip Eureka Skydeck when visiting Melbourne. Great pictures there Caroline!
