I’ve come to look forward to these monthly posts about what I’m into beyond travel because there’s so much more to my life than where I go, despite the fact that it’s something I love. It’s funny how many people respond with their obsessions or agree with mine! As with last month, I’m sharing the things I’m obsessed with at the moment. Thanks for following along! Be sure to share what you’re loving this month below!

Reading
I may be the last person on earth to read The Handmaid’s Tale, but I needed something to follow up the Amanda Knox memoir. I’m not that far into it so far but am excited to read it before watching the new Hulu series. To see what else I’m reading, check out my Goodreads Profile here.
Listening
I’ve listened to most of the same bands for a decade or so. Last month, I went to see Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness at the same venue I saw him as Something Corporate over 10 years ago. I’ve now seen Ryan Adams at a local music festival, my fourth time seeing him. New music sounds great, but there’s nothing quite like hearing your old favorites.
Watching
Part of my job for Explore Georgia is writing about television and movie projects filmed in the state. I’d heard good things about FX’s Atlanta but hadn’t watched it yet. I had trouble finding it online and on demand and ended up buying it on iTunes.
I binged the entire season in a week and enjoyed it greatly. I thought it was clever and accurately represented my hometown. I’m also hooked on the new season of Southern Charm, which I want to hate for its representation of my former home, but just can’t. I love seeing scenes in my old haunts!
Loving
Next month, I’ll attend my very first black tie wedding. If you, like me, have no time or budget for a fancy dress you’ll only wear once, Rent the Runway is your new best friend. I’ve rented dresses for everything from my college reunion to a birthday to a bridal shower.
I’ve had all positive experiences, even when the dress didn’t work out. The company has excellent customer service and is always there to swap out last minute. Full disclosure that I am an affiliate of the company, but have been a customer since 2015. Get 20% Off First Order From Rent the Runway With Code FIRST!
Traveling
Every time I say I’m slowing down, something comes up. I had a quick trip to the small town of Americus last month followed by a press trip to north Georgia. Then it was off to Huntsville for TBEX and then to Chattanooga to visit my sister. I’ve finally finished my travels for the month with a night in Dahlonega and a bachelorette weekend in Charleston. No more travels til the end of June!
Working
My first piece for Ravishly was published, which I’m immensely proud of. I’ve also done additional pieces for Flight Network, Hotel Indigo’s blog, and Her Packing List. My work for Explore Georgia has also remained steady. But I wouldn’t mind a few more steady gigs, especially for upcoming weddings and hopefully a move! See what else I’m working on via my Contently profile.

Oh, I picked up my copy of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ on the weekend, so don’t worry about being the last person to read it :P
That said, I may have *ahem*illegally*ahem* been streaming the episodes as they air. We don’t have Hulu in Australia, and they aren’t coming to a local channel (announced two days ago) until July T____T *shakes fist at Australia*
Have fun at the wedding! Always nice to find an excuse to dress up :)
PS: Love your Goodreads. You have great taste and I always find a book to add to an ever-expanding ‘I want to read’ list.

Haha I remember watching Grey’s Anatomy and Downton Abbey way after everyone else when I lived there! I streamed everything illegally then. Thanks for the Goodreads love!
