I’ve come to look forward to these monthly posts about what I’m into beyond travel because there’s so much more to my life than where I go, despite the fact that it’s something I love. It’s funny how many people respond with their obsessions or agree with mine! As with last month, I’m sharing the things I’m obsessed with at the moment. Thanks for following along! Be sure to share what you’re loving this month below!

Reading
I’m still working my way through Pure, a book about purity culture in Christianity. During my trip to Cumberland Island, I brought a paperback instead of a Kindle I had to charge. I won a copy of Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson on Goodreads and am enjoying it, especially after following her blog for years. To see what else I’m reading, check out my Goodreads Profile here (which is also my author page!).
Listening
I listen to a lot of podcasts, but To Live and Die in LA might be my favorite of the year. It’s had so many twists and turns and the story itself is bonkers. The season just ended, so binge listen before investigation updates happen. You can also now listen to the first season of my podcast, This Is My South, which has five episodes about traveling in the South.
Watching
I’ve already finished the second season of Fleabag and am still emotionally coping. Andrew Scott, also seen in Sherlock, is a great addition to the cast. I’m also obsessed with Dead to Me since I grew up watching Linda Cardellini and Christina Applegate. It’s dark and twisty similar to Big Little Lies.
Loving
I’ve finally bought into the hype of Glossier cosmetics. I don’t wear much makeup to begin with, but I picked up a few of their top sellers to test it out. I got some liquid blush, their Boy Brow brow polish, and mascara.
I also spent Mother’s Day weekend down in Senoia to go on the Walking Dead Studio Tour. As we are both fans of the show, it was so exciting to go on the limited tour to see the active sets like Alexandria, the Heaps, and the Sanctuary. If you live around Atlanta, go before they end next week!
Working
I’m still working on my monthly stories for my usual clients but also placed a few stories with a new outlet I’m excited about. Not much to report, but I’ll share when they go up. If you’d like to see more of my work, visit my professional website, CarolineEubanks.com, for more information. If you got a copy of my book, please consider reviewing it on Amazon or Goodreads.
Traveling
After a few fast-paced trips, I got to stay for a few days at the lovely Ritz Carlton Reynolds Lake Oconee less than two hours from my home. I visited for lunch when I first started writing back in 2013, so this felt like I’d “made it.” I brought along my sister Sammi and we spent our time relaxing by the pool, getting a spa treatment, eating, and shooting clays at the sporting grounds.
We came home and I turned right back around to go to Williamsburg, Virginia. I got a week’s break before setting off for a fun trip to Cumberland Island, followed a few days later by Wilmington, North Carolina.
Next up is a week-long trip to California to see my sister and explore Los Angeles before driving out to Palm Springs for the SATW Eastern Chapter meeting. I can’t wait to go vintage shopping and photograph all the midcentury homes!
