I’ve come to look forward to these monthly posts about what I’m into beyond travel because there’s so much more to my life than where I go, despite the fact that it’s something I love. It’s funny how many people respond with their obsessions or agree with mine! As with last month, I’m sharing the things I’m obsessed with at the moment. Thanks for following along! Be sure to share what you’re loving this month below!

Reading
I finally finished reading The Magnetic Girl and loved all of the Georgia locations. I quickly tore through Carrie Fisher’s biography, The Princess Diarist, and was in actual tears. Now I’m reading All the Single Ladies, which I bought a while ago.
To see what else I’m reading, check out my Goodreads Profile here (which is also my author page!).
Listening
Most of my favorite podcasts are on break for now so I’m listening to new ones. I quickly listened to all episodes of Believed, Going Through It, Chasing Cosby, and The Dream. I’ve also started Swindled, Crime Junkie, Life Kit, and Monster: DC Sniper.
Watching
I’m going to say this right now. Sex Education is the best. It’s the show I wish I’d had as a teenager. It has complex and diverse characters and speaks about the experience of growing up in a realistic way without pushing an agenda. And the soundtrack is great. I have fully cried in almost every episode.
In between watching that, I’ve been back into Vanderpump Rules (my one vice), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Crown, Booksmart (also so good!), The Good Place, and Schitt’s Creek.
Loving
I have been trying to do more activities, which started with a planting class with my mom. We learned how to plant and care for cacti and ended the class with a cocktail. If you’re in Atlanta and want to take it too, The Victorian holds them regularly!
Working
I’ve sent out over a dozen posts this month to gear up for some big expenses coming up. I’ve worked on stories for Frommer’s, 10Best, Afar, and Atlanta Magazine.
I’m also going to be doing some speaking in the next few months! I was asked to speak at the Elegant Southern Style event at Graceland in Memphis, led by none other than Priscilla Presley. I’ll be talking Southern travel with my pal Kristin of Camels & Chocolate.
I’ll also be a part of Bloghouse, a long-running travel blogger retreat, in Buffalo, New York this May. I’m excited to share my expertise from the traditional media side alongside some of my highly successful blogger friends.
I launched a Teachable course called Leveraging Your Travel Blog Into a Book. In this class, I share my tips on how to use your existing content and followers to create a sellable product. You can sign up for it here! And if you’re in the Atlanta area, I’m teaching a crash course in travel writing THIS WEEKEND!

Traveling
This month has been mostly focused on my home life, including my living situation and work situation. But I did squeeze out some time to go to Charlotte for my dear friend Catie’s Dolly Parton-themed party. Wig required.
I also went to New York for five days for a work conference where I got to catch up with friends, network with editors and PR representatives, and getting far too little sleep. But I did fit in time to go on a Marvelous Mrs. Maisel tour.
Next up, I’ll be going up to Blue Ridge here in Georgia with two of my favorite people. At the end of February, I’m heading to Louisiana for the first of three trips this year for Mardi Gras in Lafayette. Wish me and my liver luck!
