I’ve come to look forward to these monthly posts about what I’m into beyond travel because there’s so much more to my life than where I go, despite the fact that it’s something I love. It’s funny how many people respond with their obsessions or agree with mine! As with last month, I’m sharing the things I’m obsessed with at the moment. Thanks for following along! Be sure to share what you’re loving this month below!
I never thought that I’d have a third month of updates from quarantine, but here we are.

Reading
I haven’t made reading a priority as much in the later months of quarantine as I did in the first two, but I’d like to get back on track. I’m halfway through reading The Girls of Atomic City about the women that worked at Oak Ridge during World War II.
To see what else I’m reading, check out my Goodreads Profile here (which is also my author page!).
Listening
The only new podcast I’ve been listening to is The Missionary, which is the totally insane story of an American missionary that is suspected of being responsible for the deaths of hundreds of children in Uganda. Knowing so many people that have been missionaries, it’s been eye-opening to the lack of oversight in many places.
I’ve also been taking advantage of the free Headspace Plus service for the unemployed. It’s helping me keep calm as I navigate the unemployment system here in Georgia, a total nightmare.
Watching
There’s no shortage of things to watch right now, but I keep going back to what comforts me. That’s why I’ve been rewatching Greek, a show I loved in college. I’ve also started The Great, a Hulu series about Catherine the Great.
I’ve also been taking advantage of all the free workouts available online. I set up my mat in front of the fireplace and put videos from Yoga with Adriene on the TV.
Loving
I’m not going to lie. It’s getting hard to think of positive things going on right now. It seems silly to talk about a product I’m obsessed with. But I’m going to do my best. I love the light that floods into my house every morning and getting another backyard haircut from my sister. I love having time with friends and family, albeit at a distance, and the better sleep I’m getting with a Cheeky night guard. And I’m cooking more recipes than ever.
Working
The past month has been full of ups and downs. I placed two stories with dream outlets, but both were killed for various reasons. But I’m still pitching.
It was starting to get pretty disheartening, but thankfully I was assigned a few stories with an outlet I’ve written for before. I’m also writing some guides for a friend’s website. And it looks like my other website‘s advertising income is starting to rise again. Let’s hope it’s here to stay.
If you’d like to see more of my work, visit my professional website, CarolineEubanks.com, for more information. If you got a copy of my book, please consider reviewing it on Amazon or Goodreads. Or you can sign up for one of my online writing classes.
Traveling
I know that places are starting to open up and yes, I can’t stop thinking about where I want to go next. Key West, the Natchez Trace Parkway, Birmingham, and Charleston are all high on the list. But I’m not quite ready yet. The thought of flying in a mask isn’t super appealing and I don’t want to put anyone at unnecessary risk.
But with that said, I am planning future trips for July onward. I’m rebooking a trip that I had to cancel back in March at the beginning of this craziness. I’ll be taking all precautions that I can. The fall is still up in the air, but I hope to have more information about my plans soon.

The pandemic took a toll on everyone, including bloggers.
I’ve put all my future traveling plans on hold for now.
