If you’re a single girl in your twenties, you’re sure to attend a bachelorette party, or weekend, at some point. I’ve been to my fair share and even planned one. So I’ve taken what I’ve learned to put together this post on how to have your own pre-bridal bash in Las Vegas, arguably the bachelor and bachelorette capital of the world.

Where to Eat in Las Vegas
Dining in Las Vegas is an experience. Chefs from all over the world descend upon the city to open restaurants. But some of the most desirable tables must be booked in advance. OpenTable has a presence in the city but if you’re trying to make reservations in the casino restaurants, use their individual apps.
For example, the My MGM app lets you book at all of their properties. Don’t be afraid to branch out beyond the strip, including to neighborhoods like the Arts District, Downtown, and Chinatown. Eater has plenty of recommendations for where to dine with your gals.
For Breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day but you might be planning on sleeping through it. But that would be a mistake as there are some incredible breakfast options. Eggslut is a well-known breakfast spot in The Cosmopolitan that brings in crowds for breakfast sandwiches.
If you’d rather skip the line, visit The Egg Shop near Mandalay Bay, which also delivers. Siegel’s Bagelmania serves New York-style bagels and deli sandwiches.
For Lunch
For lunch, take the opportunity to check out Las Vegas’ many international eateries, many of which are clustered close together. For example, the Venezuelan-style dishes at Viva Las Arepas are right by the incredibly fresh fish tacos at Bajamar Seafood and Tacos, not far from the Arts District.
The city’s Chinatown also has Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese restaurants. Weera Thai Kitchen has creative and authentic dishes like Northern Thai sausage and khao soi.
For Dinner
There are so many great restaurants on the Strip alone that it can be overwhelming deciding what’s best for your group. I recommend making a reservation on OpenTable, which handles many of the city’s restaurants. Blue Ribbon at The Cosmopolitan is excellent, with fresh oysters, steak tartare, spicy tuna, and more.
Also at The Cosmo is China Poblano, which is great for groups because you can mix and match the Mexican and Chinese dishes. Try the tacos and dumplings, along with the salt foam margarita.
Lago has the best view on the Strip, overlooking the Bellagio fountains. Julian Serrano’s Italian restaurant has a brunch menu and dinner of shared plates, including pizzette, crudo, and pasta.
The Cromwell’s Giada is the television chef’s first restaurant, highlighting her favorite Italian dishes like lemon spaghetti and tomato bucatini. Battista’s is an old-school Italian eatery with massive portions of pasta that include free carafes of wine and cappuccinos.
For Brunch
Grab a boozy brunch to start the day. Mon Ami Gabi at Paris has a nice patio overlooking the Strip with eggs Benedict, omelettes, and French toast along with coffee and cocktails. Hash House a Go-Go at The Linq brings the San Diego original’s favorites like heaping hashes in skillets and sage fried chicken and waffles. There are also two additional locations in the city.
Maxie’s at The Linq is known for its Benedict box, a loaf of bread hollowed out and filled with brisket, guacamole, and poached eggs, topped in hollandaise. There are also stacks of pancakes and avocado toast. In downtown Vegas, hit up Therapy for frozen drinks and hearty dishes like steak and eggs, fried chicken biscuit with gravy, and French toast.
What to Do in Las Vegas
There’s more to see in Las Vegas than the nightclubs. You’ll have to fill the daylight hours with activities. Thankfully, every type of bachelorette can find something fun to do.
For active bachelorettes
In Las Vegas, there are sporty activities including golf. If you’re new to the sport, Topgolf is a fun alternative. The driving range game is easy for beginners and there are food and drinks available. The Venetian has its own indoor climbing gym for a fun outing.
The city is also a gateway to dozens of hikes in state parks and recreation areas. Red Rock Canyon is a popular option, along with Goldstrike Canyon, which has its own hot springs. Valley of Fire State Park has incredibly red ancient rocks to admire, which you can visit on a tour.
For adrenaline junkies
For adrenaline junkies, there’s nowhere more thrilling than the Stratosphere. The casino has a tall tower overlooking the strip, which has rides that put visitors over the edge. Enjoy all you can ride using the unlimited ride pass. For something a bit closer to the ground, the High Roller is the world’s largest observation wheel. You can even drink while on board. Book your tickets in advance to avoid the line.
Maverick Helicopters offers helicopter tours of Grand Canyon and the Strip, available day and night. They pick you up from your hotel and offer you champagne before you hop aboard your flight, which lasts less than 10 minutes. Or take out your rage over an ex at Wreck Room, one of the places where you can smash items with a baseball bat.
For culture vultures
Many hotels are filled with priceless art but none rival the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, which hosts a regularly changing display of notable artists’ work, including paintings, sculpture, and photography. Past exhibits have included Warhol, Picasso, and Lichtenstein.
Area 15 is a modern interactive gallery currently home to Meow Wolf, the experience from Santa Fe. A mural tour is another way to see local art. If you have a car, visit the Seven Magic Mountains installation, just outside the city. There are also guided tours to the site.
If you only book one thing in advance before your trip, make it the Neon Museum, which is only available to guided tours. It’s here that retired neon signs come to be restored or live out their days. Iconic casino signs from Stardust, Frontier, Binions, and Sahara all can be seen here. Tours are available during day and night, but it’s nice to see them lit up.
Don’t forget about shows! Popular bachelorette tickets include Thunder from Down Under, Magic Mike, and the Chippendales but there are plenty of great shows. Absinthe is sexy and hilarious and the entire lineup of Cirque de Soleil are fun alternatives as well. Check out Tix4Vegas for discounted attractions and tickets.
For shopaholics
Las Vegas is one of the best places for shopping around so be sure to bring an empty suitcase! For the luxury shops, The Venetian and the Bellagio are unmatched, with brands like Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel. For other big-name companies like Zara and Fossil, check out the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood.
But the city is also home to dozens of vintage shops. Rockin Bettie has throwback dresses with fun prints while Retro Vegas is known for its midcentury furniture. The Writer’s Block is the city’s best bookstore.
For pampered bachelorettes
When the temperatures in the desert become too much, cool off at one of the many resort pools around The Strip. The Venetian’s is unmatched, with private cabanas with hot tubs and televisions. Inside of the hotel, pamper yourself at the Canyon Ranch Spa + Fitness.
Even if your hotel doesn’t have a pool, you can still get the experience. Influence is a pool at The Linq that offers day passes and has games like beer pong. You can rent daybeds and cabanas and order drinks. Or detox at Blue Sky Yoga, which accepts donations for its classes.
Where to Drink in Las Vegas
Las Vegas has a reputation for being wild and it’s true that at any time of day, you can find a place to drink. But there is a wide variety of experiences to find. Just remember to drink responsibly! The city also has legal marijuana so you can pick up essentials at the many dispensaries, but you can’t smoke in hotel rooms.
For tiki bars and throwback style
Reminisce about the golden age of Las Vegas at the throwback bars. Atomic Liquors got the city’s first tavern license in 1952 and has been a celebrity haunt ever since, named for the atomic testing nearby. Peppermill is a 24-hour neon-lit lounge known for its steaks and cocktails.
There are also authentic tiki bars like the 24-hour Frankie’s Tiki Room, which was built by a tiki designer, inspired by Disneyland’s Trader Sam’s. The Golden Tiki in Chinatown has an under-the-sea theme along with happy hour and brunch. There’s also a speakeasy at the Mob Museum that is reminiscent of Prohibition.
For beautiful bars
Each hotel has its own iconic cocktail lounge, many of which take reservations. The Chandelier at The Cosmopolitan is surrounded by thousands of strands of crystals, giving the appearance that you’re actually inside a chandelier. It’s spread over three levels and has cocktails and wine.
If the wait is too long, Vesper is inspired by the classic martini, covered in photos of old Vegas, with neon accents and a gold chandelier. On Fremont Street, head to the Downtown Cocktail Room, an intimate speakeasy with French 75s and Palomas.
At The Venetian, The Dorsey is one of the resort’s three award-winning cocktail bars. It’s known for the Penicillin, but everything on the menu is great. For fans of the Bravo series, Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesar’s Palace recreates some of their most popular drinks, along with Vanderpump’s own rose line.
For poolside cocktails and nightclubs
When it comes to nightclubs and day clubs, I don’t have much experience but it’s a popular outing. All of the major hotels have a nightclub, but the most well-known are Drai’s Beach Club, Nightclub, XS Nightclub, Marquee Nightclub, and TAO Las Vegas. Zouk and Ayu at Resorts World are state-of-the-art night and day clubs with top billing artists.
You’ll find promoters all over town selling VIP and group packages, including on social media. Reach out and see what you can arrange if you’re interested. Or skip the hassle and book a guided club crawl.
For nonalcoholic options
You don’t have to drink alcohol to enjoy Las Vegas! Vesta Coffee Roasters crafts local coffee while Makers & Finders Coffee is a hip coffee shop by day with cocktails by night. There are even art installations and DJ sets. Detox from your nights out with fresh pressed juices from Pressed Juicery in Aria. They offer different mixtures of juices as well as quick shots to make you feel better fast.
Where to Stay in Las Vegas
When it comes to planning a bachelorette trip to Las Vegas, the accommodations will likely eat up most of your budget. But thankfully there are some deals to be found if you book well in advance and travel during the week instead of on weekends.
Aria Resort and Casino, and its non-casino wing Vdara Hotel and Spa, are well situated on the Strip with a free tram, multiple pools, multiple restaurants, and shops. Next door is The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, home to some of the best restaurants in the city.
Newer to the scene is The LINQ Resort & Casino, a smaller casino and boutique property with restaurants and shops attached, including Shake Shack, and the High Roller. Rooms are modern and chic but budget-friendly at $39 per night.
On the southern end of the Strip is the Park MGM, a luxury property with an additional Nomad Hotel. It’s home to the Eataly food hall and dozens of other restaurants.
Oasis at Gold Spike is off Fremont Street and has cheap rooms for $20 per night, including a two-room tiny house. The attached bar is a local hangout with games, dance floors, and more. The nearby Downtowner Boutique Hotel is another option, set in a midcentury motel.
Additional Advice
Depending on where everyone is traveling from, it might be best to plan on a nice dinner out on Friday that ends in drinks back in your rooms. I found this wedding-style Cards Against Humanity (Cads Against Matrimony) that was a hit with the group.
I printed it off at home and cut up the cards myself for free. At other bachelorette parties, we’ve done the game where you guess which pair of panties represents which guest and the bride keeps them all.
Keep the party going with this awesome playlist from PopSugar. Pick up some custom temporary tattoos to keep your group together as well as some phallic paraphernalia online. My crafty friend made cutout faces of the groom to carry around as well as tote bags and tanks for our most recent bachelorette.
You probably won’t have access to a kitchen but you can bring bites to snack on in the morning like granola bars. Make splitting costs easy by making everyone download Splitwise and Venmo before you go, which are great for dividing the hotel room, show tickets, drinks, and food.
Stop drinking early enough in the day that you can rally at night! I’ve been to a fair few that ended in extended naps. A hangover kit is also a must-have. You definitely won’t need a car so instead, rely on rideshare apps. Rent something fabulous from Rent the Runway. And it’s never a bad idea to bring a pair of extra shoes in case your feet hurt.
