I was hopeful that resetting my medication would help and it mostly has, but I’ve also run myself a little ragged financially. More on it soon, but I got to take my friend’s daughter to Walt Disney World and absolutely loved it. But, of course, it’s not a cheap place to visit!
In every monthly post, I like to share the articles I’m reading, the shows I’m watching, and the podcasts I’m listening to. They’ll remain free to read but there will continue to be affiliate links to recommended products to support site upkeep.
If you’re looking for a way to support my work, buy my book, read my articles, or sign up for my courses. Thanks again for following along! Be sure to share what you’re loving this month below!
This post contains affiliate links that can earn this website a small income. They will not cost you anything to use.
Reading
I will be picking back up Kafka on the Shore but I was borrowing a friend’s copy of Red White & Royal Blue that I needed to return, so I’ve torn through it. It was light and fun and engaging for not being my normal type of read.
To see what else I’m reading, check out my Goodreads Profile here (which is also my author page!).
Listening
My own thoughts? But really, nothing at the moment.
Watching
I canceled a few of my streaming services for financial reasons so I’ve been going deep into the free apps like the old Bravo shows on Pluto and 90s and classic movies on Tubi. Highly recommend!
Loving
This month has already flown by and we’re not even done yet. Before leaving town, I got to try two new-to-me spots here in Atlanta for media events that I’ll definitely be back to! One is a Peruvian restaurant and another is a disco cocktail lounge.
I also spent a few days at Disney which, as expensive and overwhelming as it can be, was really special. It’s very different seeing it through a kid’s eyes! I’ve also been working on my backyard to get it spring ready, including an above-ground pool and a tiki bar.
Working
The year was very slow going but thankfully it’s picked up now. I wrote a story for The Local Palate about a women-owned coffee company and another for Hemispheres about the developments happening in downtown Biloxi. I’m also working on two stories for a restaurant publication, two more for Travel + Leisure about places in Georgia and Florida, and another for Garden & Gun about a favorite coastal city.

Traveling
I survived a week in Louisville where basically all I did was drink bourbon (duh) and explore the neighborhoods. I had such a great time and will definitely be back. I had a few weeks at home to prepare for a whirlwind (three day) trip to Disney.
Next up, I’ll be traveling to Little Rock for a conference, so share your tips! April will be bringing me out of the country again, which I’m pretty excited about.
